Please be advised that the CW Television Program, Gossip Girl, is scheduled to film multiple scenes at The Milan Condominium on Friday, February 6, 2009. Filming will take place both in front of the building and in the lobby area from approximately 11:30 A.M. to 8:30 P.M. Set up for these scenes, including the installation of floor protection material, will begin approximately 90 minutes prior to the start of filming, and break down is expected to take 60-90 minutes after filming is complete. In return for the right to film these scenes, the condominium is being compensated by the show's production company. One of the scenes will include up to 80 background actors located just outside the front door. During this and other times when filming is taking place, access into and out of the building from the front door will be prohibited. If you wish to enter the building during this time, you may use the service entrance located just west of the building front door, or the garage located on 54th street. Access from the front door will resume as soon as filming has stopped. Additionally, one of the final scenes will be set near the elevators and will require the temporary holding of pedestrian traffic into and out of the elevators. Again, traffic will resume as soon as filming is complete. The lobby of the condominium will also be used: by actors and actresses walking in and out of the building during the scene; and by the crew setting up equipment and lights to help set the scene. Additionally, scenes being filmed after sunset will be brightly lit from the street. Residents with windows facing 55th Street may want to close their blinds during this time. If you have any questions, please contact my office. Your patience and understanding on Friday is greatly appreciated.

-I just arrived to my work around 57th and 2nd at 10ish and they were setting up the trailers near the corner of 56th and 2nd which i could see Blair and doratas name on the doors of that trailer and some others and there is another set up on 2nd between 55th and 56th from what i could see.

Krysten Ritter Joins ‘Gossip Girl’ Spin-Off





Krysten Ritter is keeps it cute in a purple Sonia Rykiel dress at the premiere of her new movie, Confessions of a Shopaholic at the Ziegfeld Theatre on Thursday (February 5) in New York City.
The actress finished off her look with gold Giuseppe Zanotti peep-toes, a cute Jenny Yuen satin clutch and Van Cleef & Arpels diamond ring & bracelet.
According to THR, Krysten was just cast in the new Gossip Girl spin-off as Carol Rhodes , Lily van der Woodsen’s older sister and black sheep of the family. The pilot for the spinoff, which follows young Lily’s wild teen years in 1980s California, airs on the May 11 episode of Gossip Girl.
Confessions, which also stars Isla Fisher, is in theaters on Friday, February 13!

just got back from the GG location, they were in the Milan apartment building on 55th bw 2nd and 3rd. Lots of trailers, saw Serena, Dan, Eric, Jenny and Rufus with Lily. They are inside for the rest of the time so you can’t see them shoot but only as they are walking in and out of their trailers.

Remember when Nate was poor and huddling under a tartan sleeping bag trying to keep warm in the basement of his family's seized Upper East Side townhouse on Gossip Girl? Well, don't worry, he isn't poor anymore because... well, something happened, I'm a little unclear actually.

But maybe these two have something to do with it. TVGuide.com has learned exclusively that Aaron Tveit and Holley Fain have been cast as Nate's very wealthy cousin Tripp Vanderbilt (nice name, chief!) and his fiancée, Maureen, who is a girl and therefore does not need a last name of her own. Tveit appeared in the Broadway productions of Wicked and Hairspray and the film Ghost Town. Fain most recently appeared on episodes of Lipstick Jungle and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

The posh pair will appear in two upcoming episodes, in which Poor Little Match Boy Nate reconciles with his mother's powerful family mdash; which, thank God, because this show does not do poor well at all. (What up, V?)

I met Matthew Settle, Penn Badgely, Taylor Momsen and Connor Paolo!
I watched them film a scene with extras where they were all flapping their hands in the air at a glass door where the Van Der Woodsons and Humphreys were.
The crew were not friendly, but one irritated crew member told me that they were filming episode 2x20.
Well, when the extras were waving at the glass door, a crew member would yell "SIRENS!". So I assume they would be going to the police...
I think this has something to do with the long lost brother.
The Van Der Woodsons and Humphreys were there, and they were all sort of dressed up. Dan was wearing a suit, but no tie. Jenny was wearing a yellow sleveless dress (I have no idea HOW she walked around in that cold). Eric was wearing a black suit with no tie as well and Rufus was wearing a coat and a big blue scarf.

I hope this is allowed? Okay, so my friend (who shall go nameless) was an extra on Gossip Girl yesterday [SO EFFING JEALOUS] and she wrote a Facebook note about it... She's an Ed fangirl and let's just say her dreams were kind of crushed.

I never really asked her if I could post this anywhere so I guess this is a little creepy of me but whatevar, I loves my fellow GG fans.

It's minorly spoilery for episode 220 but not really that bad.

"Ok, so first of all getting to New York was kind of hell-ish, but so so worth it in the end! I’m not sure like what I can and cannot say (like I probably would get in trouble for spoiling stuff?) lol idk. But anyway, we got there at 1pm and got our wardrobe check and hair and make up done. Our scene was shot in Lilly apartment, which by the way is all a set and even like the courtyard at the school and stuff isn’t out side! Ha I thought that was soo crazy. But we were suppose to be like drunk at a party and ED, JESSICA, LEIGHTON, and CHACE were in the scene with us! Ed was literally like two feet away from me, they all were lol.

I must admit though, but heart did get broken ☹ Jessica and Ed were making out the whole time we weren’t on camera, which I thought was really un-professional, and they all were really kind of stand- off-ish and didn’t really want to talk to us but it was still so much fun and Ed was beautiful ☺ But I think that after everything I really like am not so like wowed over all the actors, even Ed, they are after all just high ego celebrities :/ which was kind of a sad realization but I guess that’s better than like idolizing them. However, I did hear from some people that a couple of them are nice, but you can get more interaction with them when it’s not on set (exterior).

Oh we also had an amazing dinner and Lilly and the Headmistress ate with all of us lol (I JUST realized that was who she was today haha) But all- in- all it was an amazing experience and everyone watch episode 220!!!"

She also told me the day before the premise was that the 'extras' were 'party-crashers.'
