He encontrado varias cositas sobre Kate!
Primero dejo un párrafo que salió de Kate y Sara:
Sara Ramirez and Kate Walsh
After posing for photos,
Sara Ramirez and
Kate Walsh stayed close to one another, taking their seats for the pre-awards show dinner of seared Caribbean mahi mahi with veggie ragout and maple syrup chicken with cranberry squash. "We came straight to the table, so I haven't really seen anyone else," admitted Ramirez. Luckily, the duo was a big draw, as stars like
Amy Brenneman stopped by to say hello.
Y un artículo sobre el pelo de Kate, dude jamás pensé que iba a leer un artículo que fuera dirigido solamente al pelo de alguien jajajaja solo Kate es capaz de estas cosas
Grey’s Anatomy - Kate Walsh Redhead With Sizzling Pony
Over this long weekend I was cleaning off my stuffed-to-the-gills Tivo and found a recent episode where Ellen had the lovely red headed Kate Walsh on her show to talk about her pending new spin-off show.
During Kate’s appearance Ellen actually got on the phone (one of her fav things to do on the show) and called an ABC exec to prod them on the air about whether Kate would actually get her spin off show.
The answer? An implied yes.
A few days later the news broke on the wires that Kate is definitely leaving Grey’s Anatomy to star in her own show.
Meanwhile Kate looked stunning in a very short retro dress combined with a long sassy pony worn wrapped at the middle of the back of her head to give it that catwalk pony look. Kate wore the same exact pony look (see images above and below) at the recent World Premiere of Knocked Up with stars who GA cast mate Katherine Heigl.
When I was in New York at the all shows in early May all the designers were buzzing about the pony as being “the next big hair thing” for Summer and Fall 2007.
If Kate’s beautiful merlot red hued ponytail is any indication, pony’s are definitely going to be showing up on the heads of celebs all over Hollywood.
Maybe I’m cynical but after 10 years of reporting on hair trends I have seen just about every hair trend cycle through a few times by now.
So what can you do with a ponytail that hasn’t already been done? Well in Kate’s case you can position the base about 6 inches above the nape of the neck and wrap it with a special ponytail holder that pushes the base out a few inches from the head and allows the pony hair to assume a sexier profile.
You can also change it up with a variety of bangs like Kate’s side-swept variety.
A metal pony cuff can work great and then you can camouflage the cuff with a few strands of hair wrapped over the top. Or one of the leather cuffs also work great.
And yes, there are lot of other hairdresser “tricks” to get that pronounced base, eye popping shimmer and sassy sleekness.
As an aside….famed British hairdresser
Charles Worthington once shared a secret for an unusual ponytail wrap. He recommended “using wet string for the base of a ponytail since when the string dries it contracts and hold the hair perfectly in place”.
Yes, I’ve tried the string trick and it works but you have to wrap a bit of string several rotations to get that base lift away from the head. And yes, it’s best to cover the string with a few strands of hair unless string is the latest accessory (it’s not that I know).
Kate’s pony was also worn very sleek and shiny which tells me her hair was probably blown out stick straight, applied with lots of shine enhancing product and then wrapped to create the sultry look that actually worked very well with her short and sexy dress.
Yes, I admit it, I adore Grey’s Anatomy. I also have been a fan of Kate’s since I first caught her on the old Drew Carey show some years ago. She played one of Drew’s longer term girlfriends and no it did not end in a fairytale romance. But her character was interesting and funny.
Besides a sizzling career on Grey’s, a new spin off show that she is starring in and a great hairdresser, Kate also recently announced her engagement to Alex Young (image above with Kate), a studio executive.
